This is not true. Ally would not eat the banana on day 2. 3, yes. At 5 she would eat it, but she would hem and haw.

Two things:

1) “TO” and “2” do not rhyme. They are the same. Things that are the same do not rhyme.

B) I’m psyched for everyone to check their dashboards and see this banana picture 4 times in a row.

I was at brunch with the lovely Miss Allison this week, and thought of an interesting question. Let’s say that you could have any super-power (if you don’t have an answer ready for this, please take a minute and think of one. Also, feel bad about yourself because what happens if a genie comes out of a bottle for a few seconds and says he’ll grant any wish as long as you’re snappy about it?) BUT it has the following caveats:

In order to activate it, you have to be around a group of people
You have to say, very loudly and clearly “ACTIVATE SUPER POWER!” and really commit to it
It only works 20% of the time, each instance being considered an independent event (so it’s not like it works once every 5 times, but rather every time you try it, there’s a 20% chance that it’ll work)
You have to wait an hour between attempts.

Honestly now, would you ever use it? How often?

A remake of Clash of the Titans? Yessir. For all that I once literally spent an entire summer watching Clerks over and over while mindlessly barcoding library books, there’s a very good chance that I’ve seen the original Clash of the Titans more than any other movie. I have a recollection that, much like Space Camp, this movie was on HBO’s list of “Movies to play when we can’t get the rights to anything else this month” back in the 80’s, and I think I watched it every single time I happened across it.

It had everything that a growing nerd needed - the growth of a young man to a fierce warrior, gods interfering with the natural order, the gory death of a lady monster, and a robot bird. Spectacular. It also had the judicious use of stop-motion photography for the special effects, which for some reason made them profoundly real to me, rendering the monsters terrifying.

Man, remember the blood seeping out of the sack containing Medusa’s head, spawning the giant scorpians? An image that stayed with me for a long while. I’m stoked.

Waiting for the bus, saw an ad for a watch (which, it just strikes me now, was actually part of an poster for the movie ‘Amelia’. So our advertisements now come with ads. Please, gouge out my eyes).
